UC community to discontinue travel to the MENA region until further notice.
Overview
The Risk & Resiliency Symposium is a live two day annual professional development conference hosted at UC Riverside that brings together campus experts and leaders to share practical insight, lessons learned, emerging risks, and strategies which helps with operational efficiency and resiliency. This year's conference theme is "Risky Business." There will be keynote speakers, panel discussions, presentations on best practices, Continuing Education Units (CEU's), and giveaways offered to help sustain awareness of all our responsibilities for risk management.

- Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Location: HUB (rooms TBD)
Our goal is to bring together colleagues from across the University who are involved in business operations, administration, research, finance, procurement, contracts, insurance, emergency management, compliance, and other areas where risk-informed decision-making is an important part of the job.

The program brings together colleagues from across the University who are involved in finance, procurement, contracts & grants, program management, administration, event planning, compliance, supervision, Human Resources Business Partnerships, and youth programs. Sessions will cover a range of topics relevant to reducing risks, including:
- Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and privacy
- Crisis management & emergencies
- Employment practices
- Event planning and vendors
- Trial trends and litigation insights
- Purchasing, contracts, and financial risk
- Travel (including education abroad)
- Workers' Compensation
- Youth protection
Participation is by invitation only. This symposium is sponsored by Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management (EHSRM).
